The last day...

...of full time work. Sitting in the office here at TP, outstanding work all cleared up. I have a signed contract for part-time training work in Perth, and the new boat is waiting. Just need to make nenough to not dip into the super for a few more years. Only posting this to rub it in to those of you not old enough to do it yet, and, no, Boonie, this does NOT mean I will be participating in the footy threads .

Oh look, I found a really big emoji

The joke's on you Ranmar, launching mid week you'll never be able to see Captain Angry on a busy public holiday ramp screaming at his Mrs who has even less idea than he does (which is close to zero) making an absolute meal of launching the boat only to realise that it's prudent to give the ol' battery a run on the charger when you're taking your lawn ornament out for the first time in 6 months.

Yes, the joys of weekend boating...

Thu, 2018-05-31 13:07

We are blessed up here, even during busy periods I start stresssing if I have to wait for 2 boats. Got lots of stuff to catch up on that was lined up BEFORE I started the boat fitout, not to mention building the new 7.8 m carport to cover the rig.

Oh, and Winderabandi Point for a month or so in July.

Good luck with your retirement Ranmar, I’m sure you’ve worked hard for it. Don’t look like you’ll be standing still too long.

No, the Buell hasn't sold yet. I said I'd never sell it, but, much as I love it, its the one I'll use the least. The Norton is the favorite, the FJR is the most generally useful, and the Kawasaki is in NZ.  Actuallly had a bloke ring me about it the other day--"how many K's?", 39,000, I think, "nah, too many, see yah" WTF? How many K's do you want on a 17yo bike, FFS?

Home now, first day of the rest of my life.

 Anyone heard the rumour Rio

Sat, 2018-06-02 07:24

Anyone heard the rumour Rio are looking at mining in shark bay?  Apparently they have geoligists  marching all over Salutation Island right at this moment,  apparently they also have strong interest in a specific mineral only found in the corner at Winderbandi pt during winter.

That's all I got Ralph.

Enjoy!

They’ve been doing that for a while, not high on their priorities though while they spend on Silvergrass and Koodaideri.

Ever seen a map of what Rio holds in the Pilbara?

Sat, 2018-06-02 13:43

their active tenements cover most of the central Pilbara, all around the boundaries of Karajini, and spreading out from there. As well as Panna and Mesa A/J closer to the coast. East almost to Newman. Reckon there might be work around up there for a while yet, for those interested.

Yep, all my sites I do are Rio’s, east, west and everywhere in between,  see their tenement maps everywhere. Done Panna and Mesa A last December. Nice sites, but stuff the drive getting there and back.
