Submitted by milsey on Tue, 2011-03-22 20:11
I headed out last Friday from ocean reef with a few mates, we were targetting macks but unfortuantly they didnt wanna play ball. We hadnt had the lines in for more than 10mins when we hit the first school. We ended up landing 5 and loosing one on the light gear. Heres a few pics

Nice mate! Were they all
Nice mate! Were they all SBTs? Was out the other day and there were schools of tuna everywhere behind the FFB but all the ones we hooked were Stripeys.

What make/size boat you in Boys?
Hey guys - read your post -well done - pity bout no macs - come down south here for a Marlin - haha!
I'm looking at a 4 stroke for my boat - Yammie 100 actually and noticed that your boats fitted out with that motor.
Can you tell me what size boat your running the motor on - both length and approx weight and what is your WOT speed - plus anything else you'd care to mention on both the plusses and minus's of it. I've got Hondas on my other boat so have got a good idea of fuel economy, less oil emission etc - guess Im interested in the performance. Boat I'm considering the hundred for is a Pacemaker 560 Charger - fibreglass of course.
Cheers

This is my mates boat, my boat also has a honda. His boat is a 5.80 haines, im sure you could check the weight on the net somewhere, flat out he can get to 30kn but not alot over, but it cruises at 23kn nicely. Its a pretty good engine altho i think i would choose a honda on my next boat still.
