Last trip in Pohnpei

Went out yesterday for the last trip in Pohnpei. Nine foot swell and 25 knots - the trade winds are definately here. So it wasn't great but I targetted the many mahi that are here on light gear. Hooked up five and had a great time on the 3-5kg rod in the bit of calmer water we found.
It's been a fantastic three years catching every fish the pacific has to offer. Time to head back to Perth and get stuck into the many fish up and down the west coast.

That is a cracking photo. Must be excited to be coming home but I bet you miss the place a lot as well. I have very much enjoyed all of your stories from over there.

Time flys mate....bloody 3 years went quick and yes it was great to see your captures & reports from Micronesia!
No doubt a bit of happy/sad but what an experience. Looking forward to catching up soon and seeing the family again!
Plenty of fishing to catchup on here and many storys to tell.......have a safe trip back see you soon!
ps .....Your jumbo shell awaits you...... I can beleive its still in my freezer after all this time....ha ha
