Did a couple of quick basic builds for a mate and his parents who have a hut on the Daintree River they let us stay at from time to time. This was a thanks for past and future trips. The lighter rod has a double foot stripper and singles the rest of the way, Fuji Alconites. I like it better than the heavier one although the pattern on that came up nice. Time to build one for myself I reckon.

Beautiful work, the metallic
Beautiful work, the metallic threads really lift the patterns. I found when I was building (cant do it anymore as eyes are buggered) that this was a relaxing pastime and a great way to de-stress.

Hey thanks guys. Yes I am a big fan of the Metallic thread and the photos don't do it justice. The lighter rod has Gudebrod Electrabraid underneath in red. It has a holographic type look to it and is fantastic in the right light.

Haven't done one yet mate
Haven't done one yet mate but have looked into it a lot. If time permits I will be having a crack at one in the not too distant future.

it takes some time to do it
it takes some time to do it by hand but its worth it, make sure you do heaps of layers of clear coat between the first and second wrap. makes it look a lot better and gives you that 3d efect
