Went up for a quick overnighter in the Leeman area. Big swells during the week had really stirred things up, as expected. Water is clearing though already looking better than yesterday.
No tailor or mulloway. Took home a small gummy - around the 5kg mark so have a nice feed. B&B fish were quiet....came in dribs and drabs.
Something interesting....filleted a herring for bait and it had 2 baby blowies in it's gut!!!
Cheers

wonder if eating it would have any adverse effects?
The art of fishing consists of casting, winding, trolling and jigging
while freezing, sweating, swatting and swearing.

Gummy
Gummy at 5kg , yum yum . As for the blowies, plenty of fish eat them, more so the baby blowies . Have caught plenty of Tailor , Herring and Snook with them in their gut.
Out in the boat i have found them inside Snapper , Breaksea cod and a few others. Also seen video of Marlin and Sailfish coughing them up on the deck. But i cant recall ever seeing any large blowies come out of fish .
