Lb snapper
Just wondering if there were any reports on Lb snapper this weekend we went to ASI this morning Thought we were in with a good chance after the strong blow. Had a couple of suspected snapper bites but they didn"t seem too hungry today usually they hit the bait and your on But today u would get a bite wind it in and the head would be missing. Had one bite that I'm sure was a mulloway. Had a couple of little taps on the rod the rod went down then slack wound up the slack and striked into it as ussually if a snapper hits and the line goes slack it means the fish is swimming towards u. But this time didnt come up solid wound it in and found the bait was still fully intack just looked like something had been sucking on it.If only i had of let it sit a little longer but as we have never caught mulloway from this spot before I dont fish with a loose drag so the fish can have a bit of line before it feels the Weight.
No snapper but got a few small skippy and the thirty year old kids i took had fun catching rock crabs. By the looks of the seven day forecast on seabreeze next weekend might be worth a look for the Lb snapper NW winds forecast all week pitty they arenT a bit stronger with a bit bigger swell but at this time of year your always in with a chance of a snapper off the rocks just means a lot of cold wet mornings

same at north mole mate.. alot of skippy no snapper or mulloway... those bits would have been the skippy.. they have soft mouths n suck on the bait... was getting it all morning... like 200 plus ppl at north mole this morning.. huge turn out... ended up getting 20 skippy, 4 herring, 1 tarwine and a port jackson. few others had runs of either mullas or pinkies around 3-4 in the morning..

I caught a 30cm pinky on Sunday morning
and had a few good "pinky" hits, but they went off the bite pretty quickly when the wind dropped.
