Hey all,
Heading to Denham in a few weeks and just after people thoughts on what size sinker weight is required up there? Haven't fished there since I was a kid about 30 years ago. Looking to fish bar flats and the around DHI not sure what the current is like and whether big weights are required. Was thinking 8 oz?Any advice would be great.

In the shallow gulf
In the shallow gulf (eastern) we fish #8 or #10 barrell or ball running sinkers. And sometimes find it hard to hold bottom (we drift, not anchor). Outside there will be less current.

Sweet. Thanks mate. On a different note what's the fishing like in that side. What can you expect to get over there other than pinkies? Is it worth a day over there whilst I'm in the area?

Pink snapper season closed
Pink snapper season closed at the moment over there. And before the closure not many around. Probably different now they will be schooling up to breed.
Can target blue lined emeror, blue bone, cod, and cobia
Fish! HARD!
