Leeman Boat ramp (new)
Hi all,
Just a update on the New Boat Ramp.
Have heard quite a few grumbles about new ramp.
To steep for smaller boats.
Very slippery down at the bottom when launch/retrieve.
Built for bigger boats not smaller, thats the general comments I've heard.
Need a 4x4 to launch/retrieve.
One car in the ocean already and a few mishaps.
Too steep even for some experienced boaties.
Built in wrong spot.
No ladders, heard they have been ordered.
Personally can't comment, a lot of my close friends are using the Town Ramp (apparently ladders are ordered for new ramp) as with their aching bones etc find its better to get in and out of the boat.
Might have to sit down their and see what is going on, take some photos.
Wind hasn't stop blowing, at the moment of writing strong easterly to south eastlery blowing. Townies getting up at sparrow fart to check their cray boats, in before the southerly blows in between 8.00am and 10.00am
Tight lines FW'ers

I found that most new ramps
When first built they are very slippery until the concrete erodes away a little making it rougher and grippier .I know I nearly lost my car at point peron when they first redone those ramps ,drove the cat on the trailer and the car started sliding back down the ramp had to put both motors in gear to hold the car there while the missus ran to get in the car to hit the trailer brakes.after a few months the ramps were fine.

Green coating
Have they sprayed a green coating on to the ramp?
They did that to our new ramp and it give you no grip at all once its wet [which is all the time] and is the reason why 90% of the locals use the old one.

No
rock wall slugger, when you stare down the ramp, the right hand side has some limestone dumpted but think in a good winters storm it will go as a bit of sand their, left handside is the ancient reef wall. Time will tell.
Apparently when they offically opened the ramp, no ribbon to cut, geezes no ribbon wonder who was the bright spark that forget the ribbon hahahh
