Leeman Trip

Hey there Team, heading up to Denham for a few days in August but have 4/5 days in Leeman on the way up. First time taking the boat off there, probably been asked to death here but any pointers? Heard some crew say to head north from boat ramp once navigated out the markers is a good start?? Need to take Burley or just Drift is better?
Thanks in advance. Hopefully the weather plays nice.

There . Know a few who do ,but they launch of beach prior to reaching leeman. So I would say Sth . Unsure good luck. Don't have to go out far I know that much.

not much info mate, what size boat?

August will see a good chance of large swells which will make Leeman interesting, both on the ramps and getting out.

Don't need to go far, 15-20m outside of the reef plenty of fish. Should be pots about then pretty easy to find.

Can head wider, directly west 7-10 mile in the low 40's and comes up to 35ish. Ground is low rubber / reef but holds good fish. We found fish there pretty easily.

Honestly, don't need to go far.

Drop into Sea Rescue and sign up, best 50 you'll ever spend, as far as fish goes you've got the shallows,10 mile and the bank (20 mile).Like anywhere if the swells up don't fish the shallows, if the Dhus are biting you'll soon get sick of them, trying for other demersels. Call into the sporting club for a beer, mid west coastal towns need all the economic boost they can get in winter.
