Has anyone purchased themselves some of that PELAGIC SPECTRA EXTREME braid from ebay?
I am just wondering about the quality and knot strength etc.
None of the tackle shops have been able to shed any light yet.

Power Pro

I bought some el-cheapo 50lb power pro braid a few years ago, and just recently started using it. Loses its colour pretty quickly (was yellow, now white) but seems to hold a decent knot and I haven't had any unexplained break offs.

IMO stick to proven lines, You dont want to get some thing cheap no one has heard about and have it fail on a fish of a lifetime.

YEAH THE PRICE IS GOOD
I WASNT SURE WEATHER SOMEONE HAD BOUGHT A PILE OF IT AT BULK PRICING AND WAS ABLE TO LET IT GO SO CHEAP AND STILL PROFIT, OR IF IT IS JUST CHEAP AND NASTY.
A FRIEND OF A FRIEND BOUGHT SOME NO NAME BRAID A WHILE BACK AND WAS SNAPPING IT WHEN HE WAS CASTING A MULIE AND #3 BALL SINKER AND THIS WAS 30LB LINE. MIGHT JUST FORK OUT AND GIVE IT A BURL.

Same as rob c , I always stick to the well known brands of braid , I mean you spend all the money on a good rod and reel the fuel getting there only to maybe loose a good fish because of an unknown line giving way , stick to Berkley , Suffix ect ..
