Yup - as others have said. Rock Lobster is the correct way to refer to our 'crayfish'. I think we just call them Crays because it's easier to say, and nobody want's to be constantly reminded of the B-52s.

i remember
going to the crayfish processing factory in geraldton 30yrs ago and was told that no one wanted to buy crayfish
overseas so they renamed them rock lobster and the export market began.so they are the same thing here.

Crayfish are freshwater eg yabbies and marron
lobsters are ocean dwellers eg western rock lobster and southern rock lobster
