Most unexpected ways of Hooking a Salmon?

Hey guys i was wondering whats the most different way/lure/bait that youve caught a salmon?
Hooked a salmon, whilst fishing for herring, on my bream using a freshwater trout/redfin spinner, the thing went orrrrffffff!!!

Well done.
Regularly fish for salmon on my light whiting gear. You'd be surprised how far you can ping a small metal lure on 8lb braid and yep the fight is great.

When i was 11 years old i caught one on my whiting rod down at parry's beach near denmark, had to chase it up and down the beach because it kept on nearly spooling me (kmart special outfit) once i finally wore it out and got it into shore i found a big lure hanging out it's gob (cant remember the lure but it was similar to a laser pro). I was stoked, caught a massive salmon and scored a free lure as well :)

Was wading waist deep at deepdeen to cast out far enough and an injured fish came within arms length so grabbed it by the tail while my mate was watching, poor bugger was dissmayed as he was struggling to cast out far enough to catch one, and here I am with one on the rod and one inmy hand.

i remember Beau got one a zipper 2 years ago down in albany. I have got them on handmade broomstick lures too. orange peel, bit of my shirt cut off on a jighead, bit of a tree branch hahaha they will hit anything

Yeah Salmon are So much fun on light gear, my other mate hooked one up ans was fighting it for an hour on 5pound haha, was thr first salmon for the day and it snapped of like a meter from shore haha, he was pretty pissed. @leemo how the heck did ya manage one on a stick?
