Lobsters

OK I got my pots but have not got my acto togethter and launched or dropped them yet ;l)I am wondering I got info on how to drop them :) and I should drop them on the outside of the three mile currently ? But I am left wondering a few little things, does everyone drop pots near each other or spread them out ? I assume 6 Lobsters is my limit, but the boat limit is 6 if two people on board do both of those people need a licnese ? or does it just require two people ? (optimistic i know :) ) Then if I catch any what do I do ? :) I will drop them toomorrow and pull them the next day but aslo going fishing on sat so do I pull them on the return trip ? what do I do with the actual hopefully caught life lobsters prior to BBQ that is :))) put them on ice ? keep them in water ? how do u help them pass to the other side ?

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will catch the red crays

Thu, 2010-02-04 19:06

You will catch the red crays at the moment. where are you fishing out off??? pots should be on top of the reef, we are fishing the beach at ledge point, some are only 20m off the beach. Regarding boat limits, its 6 per person or 12 per boat(2 people need a liscense though) When you catch a size cray remember to either rip or cut the middle tail flap, this shows its a rec caught cray. If you have anymore questions feel free to pm me.

Have you got your license

Thu, 2010-02-04 21:13

Have you got your license yet? You seem pretty vague on the rules, when you get your license in the mail it will come with a little handbook that will tell you all you need to know, except where to put your pots. and remember just because you have 2 licenses, doesnt mean you can take 12 if the other license holder is'nt there.

Easy , just throw them in

Thu, 2010-02-04 21:15

Easy , just throw them in and make sure their upside down, bomb other peoples reef (right on top of other pots)  and make sure you tie them together with 1 float and at least 300mtrs of float line preferably tangling someone elses float before tying a series of knots,  remember to make it very difficult for others, thats the secret.

Now if you catch one, start panicking, they usually spit Blue Ring Occys at ya and they aim for your neck, be bloody careful

BBq prep is quite easy,...do you have an air rifle? if so, insert barrell up anus with 2 slugs (not 1) and gently sqeeze trigger whilst looking at it head on....or you can inject copious amounts of cyanide or plain weed killer into it using a 500ml syringe (full)

Place on BBQ with garlic butter and some spices return to drinking and pass out, wake a few hours later to the sound of the fire chief yelling silly comments at you.

 Enjoy

It was a joke FFS I dont think I'm "THE MAN"

"so why dont u give some knowledgable answers to a fellow site member hey?"

Because the internet and sites like this are a major player in depleting OUR fish stocks, I'm not willing to teach people on a public forum how to kill more and more especially when the stocks are plummeting. I learnt the hard way and have promised not to leak ANY secrets I may have. I care more about the fish then any fellow site member.

Dumper I dont see how not understanding one sentence and wanting clarification on one of the aspects of the rules makes my understanding vague, the rules simply state 6 per license holder and 12 per boat if 2 persons on boat, it fails to say 2 license holders must be on the boat a little unclear especially since a boat limit is not necessary a license limit is it now? after all our freezer has a limit of 24 and its not licensed neihter are a total  of 4 people in the house where the freezer lives.

Fanthom if u read my post really was after some location inormation and how to keep/kill the crays in resonable way, I have my answer due to some more helpfull members and I really think you should be on twitter I think it would suit you.

Final Comment

Going on your previus posts as sites like this are responsible for depleting the fish stocks, and helping somone gain more knowledge is further adding to the depletion (according to your post) I think following that trail of thinking would lead me to belvive that going back to school may be a mistake as that would add further education hence  further depletion oh my its a nasty cycle, they should not sell bait heck no tackle shops, boats should only be allowed to be used with no bungs !dam it ban schools ban the internet burn the books do not allow education ! it is evil and me knowing how to kinder sedate lobsters will end the world dam the sea kittens!

Fact is  dumper could not help being a smart ass after I asked a question that I was not fully clear to me its the way i read the rules that lead me to question it, it was already answered by anohter member, your joke went kinda past the funny and it felt like ur being a twit  did i say felt like ? read your post and tell me otherwise. I could go back to school I might learn somthing but in your case it seems you are past that point of help.

If you dont belive in a forum that helps directs and advises people towards the right thing then what are you doing here ? you said yourself the knowlege passed down in this forum is destructive to the marine life and you refuse to pass any knowlege on, then go back to lurkin after all if u cant say anything worth saying why say anything at all ?

Anyway end of discussion this is a discussion between narrow minded induviduals out for god knows what and the topic has gotten well and truly sad.

The End

Dont you have anything better to do.

Fri, 2010-02-05 21:31

Redirect yourself to the greenpeace site. By the way you are carrying on it sounds like you fancy yourself a bit and know everthing. If you dont have anything decent to add f#@k o!*. This is twice I have come across you on this site being a tossa. Blokes like you should be banned from adding anything in forums.

Craypot info!

Thu, 2010-02-04 22:52

D-Doush has offered great info Synthos!

The other bit is pull your pots first thing before fishing and lightly ice your cray catch. Reds on reef being better and once the pots fully soaked & the bait smell gets into the pine they'll be better!

PM if ya got more questions also!
