Local beach sat night.
After trying white hill before new years and coming home empty handed, Noahs_ark, myself and my uncle made a last minuite decision to head down to our local beach to try for some tailor. Well within fifteen minuitus of us fishing I hooked up to our first fish of the night. At 30.0001 cm I thought, well I think I will keep this 1 as you never know our luck. Next cast was quite. Real quiet. Remembering our last trip to white hills i was getting anxious.
But then i got a ripper bite and wound in a good tailor of about 35cm. "well this is more like it".
Then the bite started. We were getting smashed within seconds every cast. Some good fish were reeled in. Biggest tipped 45cm. The best tailor bite ive had in a metro area in a long time.
After my uncle pinged off his second rig we made the executive decision to call it quits. Just after dark and we had only been fishing for an hour.
We ended up keeping 15 tailor and 1 herring between the 3 of us and released several just sized fish.
Great fun. cant wait for my next arvo off. Whenever that will be......
