long weekend camping

hey guys,

looking for somewhere around an hour from perth where we can have an overnighter this weekend.

needs to be free, 2wd accessible and out of the way enough that a few boys can dribble shit and have a small fire going.

any ideas?

cheers

was originally thinking moore river colin, is there many campsites along the river you can get to with a car?

i thought it was illegal to camp within a certain distance of a caravan park.

It is a bit hard to get to free camping spots these days without a 4wd otherwise Flatrocks or somewhere like that would be ideal.

Problem solved there mate.

Leave straight from work, dont even go home to change.
Hitch to Newcastle, pick up the 4X4 do some fishing in SA on the way, be back in time for work on Tuesday.

That way your set for the next long weekend and the xmas break.

Plenty of places to camp and shoot the breeze on the Nullabor.
