Looking at the following Fishfinders/Chartplotters

Hi all I am currently looking at the following fishfinders / charplotters, Has anyone had any experience with these. I want something where I will mainly be fishing a few KM's from shore but when I build up enough experience I will be going out deep. but am currently weighing up these any advice will be much appreciated. I really want to go with two dual devices so that if one goes then at least I have a choice of fishfinder / chartplotter.

1.) Lowrance Elite 7 Chirp Combo with Navionics Gold Chart - 50/200KHZ
2.) Raymarine Dragonfly 7 inch

It is a swing between the both but I am unsure what is everyone's thoughts has anyone used the following?

Any advice will be amazing this setting up the boat is a mind-field :)

Gps and sounder

Go for a good quality sounder and any Gps that will carry a Navionics card.

The chart isn't going to change and you can zoom in if you need closed detail. All it needs to do is store your spots and let you get back to them at a later date.

The quality sounder is the thing that allows you to better see what you are fishing on and what fish are down there. Fishing in close to shore won't effect a good sounder and buying a cheap one will probably not be up to the job needed out deeper.

looked at the raymarine Dragonfly recently but be aware it has a max (usable) depth of up to 40 ish meters.

The dragonfly seems to be the best around it's price for shallow water though.
