Deep, deep, stuff

Deep, deep stuff.  Got a few things I would like to try but need a bit more weight to quicken the rate of descent and if it glows down there that's a plus.

Maybe that's what I will have to do

Wed, 2010-05-12 17:26

On another website one bloke commented that he had made his own but it was something he would not do again.  Messy / fiddly and expensive.  From what I gather paint doesn't adhere to lead well without 'etching' first (not sure if that is the right word) then you need to undercoat white and then apply the lumo paint.

I want paint that shines in the dark.  I'm calling that lumo, is that correct or is it fluoro.  Any paint experts out there that can help?

Fluro Yellow stencil spary from Signet

Wed, 2010-05-12 21:05

I spray my bottom bashing sinkers fluro yellow. Pretty sure you can buy off the shelf from bunnings. It lasts a couple of trips before you have to spray them again. It is very bright as we also use it to spray baseballs for training at night.

wouldnt you be better off just using the lumo tube stuff near the hooks, i would have thought if your sinker glowed the fish would go after that not the bait or jig

Lumo sinkers

Thu, 2010-05-13 10:18

I plan for the ball sinkers to sit hard down on the slow jig and therefore become part of it if you get my drift.  If I can make the sinkers lumo they will enhance the jig.
