Just returned
Went to Melbourne for a week and spent a few days around Brighton and luna park area ..... A few people fishing but nothing caught from the rock walls or the jetty as it was blowing its ass off from 1pm and a low tide .... Hope that helps ......

Freshwater
Callum,
spent five years living in Melbourne and the freshwater scene is the best around that area. Head up to warrandyte and check out the upper Yarra. They pull occasional trout and some of the biggest carp you will see. Around Saint Kilda and the eastern side they target snapper in the bay. Remember the size limit is 28 there so don't abuse people like I did for keeping undersize lol.
If you have time head up to lake eildon and surrounds. You can drive car right to water edge a chill out even take ya grandad in the car if he's up to it.
All the best mate hope it goes as good as it can!

There's good mulloway (right up your alley) & bream in the Yarra river. If you can get down to the Hastings area of Western Port Bay there's KG's & Flathead to be had.
