loop to loop connection, for wind-on leader

hi guys,

i know this may sound like a silly question to some, but what exactley is the loop to loop connection for wind on leaders. ive got my bimini tied and bought some 60lb richter wind on leader, but im dumbfounded on the best way to connect them is? is it as simple as poking the end of the leader through the bimini then through the end of the wind on?

any help is much appreciated

cheers rob

Place the bimini loop inside wind on loop thread the wind on through then bring leader through again so you get a 'double plait' so to speak. Horrible description from me so I apologise maybe someone can explain better otherwise I will have to display my crap ms paint skills... nobody wants to see that

Rob, the above link will show you how we do it BUT we use 3 loops to form catspaw where he did 2.

cheers guys that all helped, especially the video honsu. i got a bit confused what to do after the second loop, but i realised once i had the braid through the darcon part and was putting the mono through the new loop, i could put it through 2 more times and it worked fine, just a little tricky to pull up tight, hope this helps anyone else as confused as i was.

Tightening....

To pull it up tight, get your index finger nail on the top loop of the dacron and slide it down toward the catspaw - it will pull up tight very easily. Good luck....

We use a Catspaw ,an handy tip is to make sure when you tightening up the knot that it does not flip over . or Simple
Cats paw , you could try a Albright too , we have found a bit of slipage after long extended Tussels ...

using  .40 mono to 60 lbs Loop.  .50 mono to anything from 1mm to 1,6 mm .Using a thick leader allows one to handle and land the fish beter too , over foul areas

After a bit of searching , for Dacron . we are making them for a fraction of the cost  , we even use them for Rock and Surf fishing !
