Lowrance Trackback

Hi All
Have been thinking about getting a Lowrance specifically for its Trackback feature which I think would be priceless when covering ground wide of perth metro. Does anyone use it for this and is it useful and accurate?

navionics gold chart
Also, enable 'fish n chips' toggle in chart options to show 'sonarcharts'. Sonarcharts will show more detailed contour info when you zoom in.

Easy
On the HDS use the left arrow button to scroll back (on the sounder screen) and use the cross hairs to find the spot you like the look of. Push enter twice to save as a waypoint

just touchscreen so use as u would a touch phone (touch screen and drag sounding screen back till u see what u are after (fish structure etc).
then just touch and hold on the actual structure and it marks the exact point.
I assume the lowrance touch like this aswell

However
If you do find something you want to track back on don't leave it too long before you use the feature. My sounder doesn't store a great deal of memory. Found that out the hard way.

Also press "exit" if your cursor is already somewhere on your map. This will save the waypoint where you have scrolled back to, not where your cursor is situated.
