Smilin' Jacks!

Was in Tuckey's Tackle today and they've got a stack of 'em. Everybody likes the blue ones but the best time to troll out the front atm would be early mornings during the outgoing tide, slightly dirty water, so I'd get a gold-coloured one as well.

Either colour will also work trolling under the new bridge, WESTERN side, one pylon over from the fishing platform, on the incoming tide, currently anytime after 9am. But those ones normally struggle to be legal size.

Been consistently getting 40cm fish casting stickbaits off the edge of the drop-off at Pt Grey, across from Dawesville Cut. Haven't tried trolling there but don't see why it couldn't be a goer.

YFW on surface lures still ticking over nicely if that interests you as well! Pm me for details...

not had much luck trolling in

not had much luck trolling in that area aside from Herring, but got a few choppers to 40cm casting lures along the south side groyne early in the morning, out going tides can make it imposable to troll around the mouth of the cut with lots of small clumps of weed being pushed out.
