Marketing FW to the Fishing Industry
Afternoon all,
I'm looking to find a company that will market FW to the rec fishing / maritime businesses out there or even a motivated individual that is willing to discuss a commission based incentive program to increase our sponsor base as the sites IT and server rates continue to increase as our database gets bigger (55 gig now). Bearing in mind that I'm very picky about online tackle stores as I believe in supporting bricks and mortar and also the fact I want to promote products because they are a quality product/service for the members of the site. I also don't wish to step on our current sponsors toes as they have continued to support the site, so am looking for strategic arrangements.
If anyone has any suggestions / thoughts - I'm open to suggestions / recommendations; or PM
Cheers,
Adam

suggestion
just a suggestion Adam, but part of marketing the site would be from being able to demonstrate existing sponsors benefits.
And from watching the various sponsors on the site it soon becomes obvious which ones have an idea of how to maximise their sponsorship value
and which will probably drop away after a year.
Without a doubt there are some who could do with some coaching in how to use the site to their advantage as Oceanside, Shorecatch and Chivers (not so much lately) are able to?

FW Marketing
Adam,
More than happy to write a piece about the "value" that FW has brought to our new business. As Rob says, it is not just a matter of listing your name and web site, it needs to be followed up with relevant posts that Members might be interested in without any "hard sell".
If I had to indicate where I perceive the most value, it would be asking Members opinions about things and reading the excellent replies. There certainly does seem to be a degree of sponsor loyalty by Members and that is "gold.
Happy to further discuss and help where I can.
Mick
