Marron season 2014

Marron season 2014 started 8th Jan (Wednesday) at 12noon and both Blake and Ryan got into them. Ryan went to Harvey Dam with good mate Scott (Soupster) and they bagged out (first pic)
Blake and good mate Dan went to the Murray River and got into some descent marron also, the biggest going 120mm carapace (second pic)
Marron season runs until 5th Feb 12noon 2014

wind the last few days
did ryan and scott have any dramas with the chop on the dam making it difficault ?

Chop
There was a bit of chop early but lucky for us it dropped off. Best bet is to look at the forecast wind and then choose a spot that is tucked in away from it. The wind does make it very difficult, seeing through the chop and it also stirs up the shallows affecting the water clarity.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.

i dont eat or kill them anymore ..they make great pets in big aquirium...yabbies different story.well done on great catch..snare no dought in harvey trophy dam ,is it the same for murray river? my youngest went to murray other day and got great feed of redfin.iam going to get a yack .i miss camping and fresh water
