Went out deep good friday and on our way back about twenty k out the surface was boiling with baitfish something was smashing them tried trawling some lures around the school but no luck. Has anyone got any advice on how to fish that situation toss lures or trawl some advice on lure types would be much appreciated. This new boat is really opening a lot of new fishing options. Hope u all have a safe and happy easter

Yes thats right you have to find the right size lure mate! In broome we used to steam up to the baitballs and when close enough to cast , toss out your spoon/twisty ect  then start cranking your reel as fast as you can and at the same time get the skipper to turn the boat away from the bait school and take off. This way you can get your lure flying thru the water at high speed, as thats what tuna ect like.

Another friend used  to hit the bait schools the same side as the sun is shining as well, his theory was the boat wouldnt spook them as much!  Enjoy

Try getting on one side of the baitball, the way they are moving and stay about 50m away and turn the engine off.  May take a few times for you to get it perfect, but will stop you spooking the school and the pelagics hunting them.
