My BIG CATCH of the day.
A massive 7KG PAPA toman.. In usual case, the mama toman is 2 X the size of the male counterpart.As informed by my boatman, this is only the PAPA toman. Can't imgaine the massive size of the mama toman if landed.

Pound by pound in fishing class, wild toman or some call it the Giant sankehead is the Champion & the Best freshwater fighting fish in asia.
Much stronger than mekong catfish pound by pound fights, much faster than redtail catfish , better than barramundi and retain the best burst line fish during the first run.... ;)
Toman fishes are not easy to catch. Even if you can hook them, you may not successful land it cuz snakehead always like to play dirty after been hooked up. You must acts fast and confident. No second chance. They will make for the escape very fast.
They'll dash to any weeds or any underwater obstacle whenever they have the chance. So a 50Ibs shock leader line is always advisable when fishing the toman in the wild.

Always practise catch and release espcially when come to those frys mama & papa toman. Do allow the mama or papa toman to return to their frys so we'll have more toman to fish in the future..;)
Always Ryoga 1016H !!! Best fighting BC reel when come to fishing wild toman. ;)
We'll be back for more mama actions for sure....
Next stop , maye another distant fishing dam. Once you've aquired the knowledge and skills in wild fishing, you can fish anywhere anytime. That's the beauty of wild fishing. ;)
