Maybe PW will come to Busso

Hi all, Earlier today I saw the post on Facebook saying how much Paul and his family loved a small Jetty over east and I thought if he liked that he will love the Busso Jetty. I sent him a PM saying that he should come over and experience the Jetty. I was amazed when he replied within 3 hours that he would speak to his producers about it. I know there will be a lot of you that think this was a bad move and any more fisherman at the Jetty will be really bad but it should be showed off for its amazing sites, photography and especially the observatory so before you get really upset it would be presenting all of the other features more than anything and not the fishing aspect as much. Fisho's have had to put up with a lot of lies concerning the jetty. A prommo.was sent around the world stating that since fishing was stopped on the end of the jetty fish numbers have increased substantially and anybody that knows anything about the jetty knows that it is a straight out lie started by by the environment group who manage the business's on the jetty.I've got the tape here at home.We even had a cooking show on the jetty saying a red emporer had just been caught and that's what they were cooking and it was all to do with good TV.If PW sticks with the truth no problem but getting loose with the truth all in the name of good TV isn't going to win him any friends and our greenie council will have the final say as always. They will want to edit anything that goes to air.

Paul coming to Busso or the Southwest again.
He was here (Bunkers Bay) last year and the fact that there isn't a Tackleworld store within cooee of Busso means no cross promotion for him or his mates.

He's not about to tell you outright that they aren't interested so you get told he'll speak to the producers which gives him a ready made excuse if you quiz him about it down the track. PW and the producer were here
PW and the producer were here last November to put together 4 episodes for Ifish and 2 episodes have already been shown on TV. Maybe considered a knob by one poster but loves his fishing.Different person away from the camera and gets here on a regular basis for social catch ups with Tackle World people.

Seriously my boys love the show, they met him here in town a few months back and he took the time to look at their pics and sign them and have a pic.
I was away at the time but the missus said he spent alot of time with the kids and smiled all the way thru and mingled for hours.
Thats good enough for me compared to some posters here who struggle to maintain their manners and language even from a keyboard.

That sounds like a top effort by the guy. I enjoy his show just as much as I don't enjoy the clowns that are willing to try and cut him down. We do live in the 'tall poppy' country.

I have fished with him a few
I have fished with him a few years ago in Victoria and what you get on tv is what he is like all the time pretty down to earth humble sort of guy,who wouldnt like a job like his travel the country and he does also donate gear to some of the locals at some of the remote spots he go's to if he comes over and does a show for Busso I dont think that would be a bad thing.

Whats with the butt hurt over this bloke? He is a very nice guy and has made a good living for himself doing what he loves. Yes he isnt perfect nor is his show but its something to watch at least.

I don't watch him as as a general rule. I've seen the odd episode here & there, that's enough for me to know his style isn't to my liking. I never said he's offensive or anything like that, I simply said his personality & style are not to my liking. In all likely hood he's a perfectly nice bloke that simply has the kind of personality I don't gel with. Last I heard there was no law saying you have to like everybody.

Dont watch it then. So because you dont like the way he does his show it means he is a knob? Pretty harsh considering you dont know him personally. Neither do I but the times I have met him he has been a very nice guy, introduced himself to me like he was a nobody and was very humble. Very much unlike other lesser personalities in the industry...
He is just doing what works. Why do you think his show is so successful? If you prefer a different style or something with less ads maybe just watch something else better suited (if there is anything). No need to slander the bloke because he is successful, its just sad frankly.

I think he is shit but To be honest I do look forward to Ifish since ET fishing has come on, that's almost unbearable,
back to the point tho gents :D anything that'll get the old girl ( jetty) some more funding or publicity or what not I think is a great idea, lets hope he does fish it sometime soon.

Havent watched ifish in a long while, my mrs deletes them off the Tivo for me along with that other knob Robinsons catch crap around the world show. The dude shits me with his same old sayings.... and I hated watchin a whole episode to only see 1 or 2 fish caught. Gota love the target species bit at the start of every show, like the one where it was a target species of spangled emperor. They went to Lord Howe Island, and his guides failed to get him any king fish so they retreated and used bread for bait to catch spangos, lets make it a spango episode lol. Or that time hes out bringin mullas up from the deep, we all know they dont release well, and he proceeded to spear one back and you see it pop up out the back belly up as the camera pans away, most of his releases are like this, spear in and stop rollin the camera lol. Not long ago I was at a Tackleworld with my boy and the nice bloke at the counter handed my boy an Ifish dvd and he didnt want to take it, later sayin in the car that he "doesnt like that show like you daddy", haha, cant even give his dvds away to a bloody 3yo. Wasnt havin a dig at him, well, ok yes I am, he may be a nice bloke, never met him, I just think his show sucks and lacks the ability to catch fish on his own.
I like Lee Rayner and Adventure Bound, fishin off their own boat most of the time, covering lots of different species, always explaining tackle and techniques, not selling shit, informative and entertaining program presented by a normal aussie fisho. He came over and Ryan from Oceanside did a show with him off Kalbarri, was top knotch as well as his trips over to Fiji.
Even Steve Correia would do a better job at promoting Busso and the Jetty, probably already has

Its easier and more favourable to agree and join with the nice guys that critisize the ones with negative things to say.
