Taken over the weekend on a macarthy eight inch bullhead colour orange two ounce TT Jighead.
Great fight caught on the drop no action must have bounced it on his head.

caught my first fish on SP's
caught my first fish on SP's the other day then proceeded to get 9 more while the 6 bait fishos with me caught 2 between them and a giant bull shark

Lost track of how many times they have outfished baits on boats either mine or a mates.
When fishing deep 30 + meters with plastics go the heaviest jig head you have and get it into the strike zone 5 + meters from bottom.
Its the action and curious nature of the fish that will bring on the strike.
This Dhuie just hit it on the drop no action just a desending plastic.
They work every where on all types of fish they were dynamite at the montes and caught reds/trout and the rankin where addicted to them.

interesting you should say that the first fish i got was a rankin and same thing the fish was on allready when i jigged it the first time very exciting
used a 1 1/2 ounce jig head with nuclear chickens 45 - 50 metres
bought some more the other day gonna give the pearl white a go

Uploaded one of the rankins caught on SP mate as you can see they just in hail them as you know.
Its cool when your plastic is desending down and you notice more line coming of the spool than normal and you drop the spool arm and load up ....
