Mercruiser alarm

Hi all
I've got a Searay with a Mercruiser Bravo 3 leg. A while back I had an alarm go off because the power steering pump reservoir was empty. That's been filled up and the problem went away but the alarm has started going off again. The reservoir is filled to the correct level so I can't figure out why it's going off. If there was an airlock then why did it stop for quite a while? I can get my mechanic to look at it but thought I'd see if there was a simple fix first.

Hey mate is the alarm
Hey mate is the alarm specifically for power steering oil level or could it be another problem? Batt voltage, engine temp ect. If everything checks ok look for a broken wire especially around sensors and switches.warning systems are usually wired to come on when there's an open circuit eg broken wire

Thanks Bodgy. This is
Thanks Bodgy. This is specifically for steering oil level. I'll check for wiring issues as I can't see what else it would be.

There will probably be two
There will probably be two wires going to the level sender, disconnect them and if alarm stays on this should confirm it's a normally closed circuit.now bridge the two wires together and see if light goes off.If it does go off the problem will be at the sender unit and if it stays on problem with the wires.hope this helps its a pretty common way warning systems are wired
