metro gummy

just out of freo harbour yesterday reeling in whiting after whiting when something a little bigger grabbed the bit of squid on the hook

managed to get it up on the little 3foot uglystick expecting it to be a damn ray

to my suprise it was a gummy shark, wasnt a record breaker but i was pretty happy with it as it was my first gummy

along with the whiting and gummy we got a load of squid a port jackson shark and a shovel nose ray

all sharks/rays released to swim another day

Nice work on the release. I've always considered using one of my big fish tanks as a SW set up for gummys etc
