reef structure and the gutters along the beach, either sunrise or sunset both fish well, throw unweighted or weighted mulies, stickbaits, poppers over reef.

 tommo gave u good advice, i normally fish sunset if i get there in time but most times its dark when im tailor fishing, make sure there is a good gutter and knowing how to spot the gutter is the key, look for changes in the beach formation, if u are fishing the same beach allot, formations change everyday and when new deep holes or gutters appear, u have a good chance of getting something good, poppers, slices and Stickbaits are my prefered method to catch these great fish, but u can also baitcast unweighted mullies or mullies on a basic beach rig with sinker depending on the area ur fishing, and how much reef is around, dont get put off by a howling strong wind tailor like that, it might not be easy to cast far out, but remember sometimes the tailor could be right at ur feet, many times i have casted out a slice and just as its near my feet i scored a massive tailor, great fun and good luck

any area there is reef will hold tailor at some point, ocean reef, burns beach, mindarie, yanchep, two rocks just to name a few.
