Hello FW Junkies
Was curious to know if any FW Members are having any luck on the Trawl of late, the Leeuwin Current seems to of heated up of late yet quite a bit of ribbon weed was about last 5 days way south of Rotto?
Yep its been windy too!
We caught a some spaniads & tuna but it was bloody hard work
Would liek to know if any one else is having the same luck

Interested to know what you
Interested to know what you caught your mackerel on? We trolled a 190 Laser Pro and a Rapala Magnum 20 around some mackies that we saw on the surface but didnt get a hit, thought they wouldve been crawling all over those 2 lures?

He said he was TRAWLING...
...not using lures. So the rest of us are obviously doing it wrong.
I, and everyone else, know what he meant, it just sh#Ts me to tears that seemingly endless users on here can't write "trolling".

South of Rotto
We trolled in 30m south of rotto last Sunday. Birds and bait everywhere, but no mackies - just sharks and sambo's. Looked very fishy though so fingers crossed going forward. I noticed it was a white day on the almanac. Still think it is pretty early in the season for metro. Lots of weed in closer - but nothing in 30m - so perhaps Jenkos got his mackeral around the 5 fathom bank!! Just a guess.

Hello West Coast, we were not
Hello West Coast, we were not at 5 Fathom but actually SE of Rotto in approx 40m as you asay heaps of birds which is a great sign is were we picked off the Tuna anyway.
We were on clear Raplara's and your standard Red Heads, nothing too fancy. the tuna we got on home/Hand made Xmas Pink.
will be interesting tomz with being Black day and all, though the wind will be in.
thanks to all the spell checkers out there too classic

Try using skirts if Macks
Try using skirts if Macks aren't hitting deep divers - got two shark macks on skirts sunday; switched from minnows when nothing was hitting them.
