Metro tuna

 Hi all,

I have been reading with interest the reports of tuna being caught off the metro coast, however had no luck so far. Is it a just a matter of finding bird action?

Any tips would be great.

Cheers

Birds are an even better

Birds are an even better indication, as they will show you that there has been activity in a the area at some recent time. Often birds will sit on the water and wait for the bait and Tuna to push up to the surface again, they will then take to the air and join the frenzy.

I found the tuna really zone

Thu, 2014-05-15 21:01

I found the tuna really zone in on the size of the bait fish there hitting had days where 5kg + fish will only hit tiny 10g metals and if you get one there coughin. Up tinny baitfish other days theyll smash anythink that moves also parabeam boards and smithjigs tuna loveem.Pakula micro uzis and Chrissy trees behind the boards if there's no birds keep your eye on the sounder for schools of baitfish worth a few loops
