might be a touchy subject with members

was reading the upgrade of a ramp in the south. what is the feeling with a up grade of the ramp at two rocks ramp! dont get me wrong i respect the guys that collect the money each morning! they need to be payed ect!and put my hat down to. TWO ROCKS SEA RESCUE !but the facilities arent going to keep up with the general public as i and many others have noticed over the past year or two!as all good fishing areas people will soon be traveling further north wards as i do looking for better areas these areas are going to recieve more traffic like it or not! just after your opinion!

keep dreaming this topic

keep dreaming this topic has been coming up for the last 5 years. Two rocks ramp still is what it was five years ago. The next ramp at Two Rocks will be in the new marinia, and that should be in the next ten to twenty years. So be prepared to wait a bit longer (alot longer). We find that getting there early puts you in front of the packs.

I asked the old chap at the ramp that very question. The ramp is technically not a public ramp. It belongs to the two rocks yacht club. The guy who mans it is a volunteer and the money goes to the upkeep of the ramp.

They put the ramp in so the trailer sailors could launch not the mass of public boats that use it now.

It's my understanding that the ramp (and marina) is owned by the Tokyu Corporation and the Yacht Club is collecting the money on their behalf...which raises the question of maybe all ramps available for public use should have some sort of standard which must be adhered to.

Tell me why Pt Peron ramp in Rocko has plenty of jetty space, well-lit, fish cleaning bench, washdown/flushing facilities, ample parking and is FREE OF CHARGE, while the Mandurah ramps have very few or none of those things and most of them have a launching fee?

Its a great place to launch, but as for parking,
if you get there after 8am on a weekend you have big trouble parking.

My Stepfather runs the Tworocks Marina for Tokyo and yes they lease out the ramp to the Yacht Club as mentioned. They can shut that off to the public at any stage so for now we have to bare with it. The new proposal if approved will be awesome and what they have planned is great. (all I can say at the mo)
