mindarie marina fence

anyone now anything about the fence going up along the outside wall, its continuing on from the exsiting fence over looking the surf break. so far it looks to be in place to stop people from fishing the wall, thats if it goes all the way along. hoping it doesnt hope there is a gate or two along the way

Who is putting up the fence

Who's putting up the fence, I mean who is paying for it to be done, not the fencing contractors. That's the first thing that needs to be disclosed IMO.

As far as i know

As far as i know, Mindarie Marina and all the land including the break walls are private property. They seem to do what ever they want.

They have a contract with the wanneroo council to police the car park and issue fines , thats why there are council signs in the car park. But otherwise the council have no ( or very little) say on what goes on in there.

More than likely the new home owners are complaining about all the fishing etc spoiling thier views.

ok, but was the fishing platform not the councils, i thought they were the ones that pulled it down because they didnt want to keep the maintanence up, cost to much. i think there is a sign there about it cant remember what it says but.

Not sure

I'm not sure ,the platform was built a long time ago with different owners, so there is dispute about who's problem it is. But i could be wrong i'm only going from things ive been told. But thats whats so confusing about the whole marina. If there are problems the council say its privately owned and the owners say its a council problem.

I think as more of those houses are finished and the massive block of apartments are filled with people, we will see more restrictions enforced and will slowly loose access to rockwalls.
