First fish up here

Mon, 2006-10-02 21:10

This will be my first time fishing this area. Is it possible to get a few pointers or marks before we go out. Not sure what depth and type of bottom to fish.

Thanks

Might pay to head out early

Mon, 2006-10-02 21:15

Maybe head out the week before and find some ground to plunder. A ouple of spots worth hitting would be the small reef 150m inside staggies, or the 20m line about 500m west of staggies.

Other than that there is heaps of broken ground up near the alkimos.

Depending on the conditions I might be game enough to head out wide.

Cheers

No Problems

Fri, 2006-10-06 21:49

No problems Andy, the more the merrier. I will edit the list.

I will put on a carton of beer to the value of $40 for the best table fish kept of the night, to fire up the competitive spirit a little. Whilst mind you, the whole night is about fun and safety, which is paramount after the disaster last weekend.

Could all of the boat fishermen send me a private message with mobile phone contact details, just incase the weather is unworkable, saves you having to tow down to Mindarie if things aren't looking good on the water. I will give you a call at mid-day on the Saturday to confirm everything is going ahead.

Tapout

Mon, 2006-10-09 09:26

I'm heading out with Tapout. I will try and get a map for safe passage out from Mindarie. If not, on the day we can just show you the way out on the chart plotter and then it should be all good, maybe even just team up to give you a few pointers of where to fish. All Good.

Couple of weeks to go!!
