Mixed bag of Metro Lollies

Nice day on the water, fished from 40m to 350m, was a fun day and ended with a mixed bag that should be nice on the BBQ.

The pinkie was more like a reddie, caught in 200m depth.....I was a bit surprised you would get pinkies that deep, it was still kicking strong on the surface! Fat bugger, must be heaps of food down there.

Was a bit rough out there cahal, so sounding was hard work and we had to keep below 7 knots and you had to squint a bit. Found a few fish on a ledge which is where we got the radiant cod, then got a really nice show of fish 30m off the bottom in 350m that I was sure would be blue eye, but we did not get a hit......hmmm. Still to crack that one.

There was a bit of current, a few knots I would guess, was going in the same direction as the wind so we fished with lines going straight down which made it REALLY easy given it was a bit rough. Could be a different story with a different wind direction I guess?

Water 23 degrees still!!!!
