Mmmmm bread.

I know it's not fishing related ( unless it's a fish Sammie ) yet seldom is the weather good enough up here to be out fishing every day. Having no decent bread available on the Island and a bun load of spare time I thought I'd have a red hot go at making my own. It's been an interesting journey making making a sourdough starter ( Pierre is his name you have to give em a name according to the sourdough fraternity) and trying to make a decent loaf. After a good nine months of trial and error I'm starting to bang out some good bread. Drool on gentlemen, drool on!.

II love Woolworths sourdough with potato and rosemary
Thick cut lightly toasted with lashings of butter and Vegemite. most of their breads are rubbish but they have a winner with this one.
and those pictured above look bloody special.....bread is one of life's luxuries
