Mongrel Braid

Basically anyone got some feed back on this. I see it's cheap which currently is still out of my current unemployed budget but I am seriously considering buying a couple of 500mtr spools. What will deter me is consistent negative feedback so please if you have used or are using this please give feedback. I am still new to braid so things like castability, fluffing up, knot strenght and whatever else would be good to know.

I've bought cheap stuff
from china on ebay and i havent had any problems with it sure the its thicker thn something like power pro but have landed big sambos and dhues on it. just got to put it on a reel with a big line capacity

Cheap stuff
On the cheap stuff the higher poundage is fine, they tend to understate the breaking strain so if you want 80Lb buy the 70lb stuff, the breaking strain will vary between 80 and 100lb due to poor quality control issues.
I dont recomend the lighter lbs as these tend to be over stated and the quality control (being what it is) means that you can break it with your hands in some areas, 6 lbs will vary between 3 and 8lb breaking strain on the same roll.
I have 50 lb on my shark reel and my 60lb mono snaps before that stuff. it is just very thick. It is not IGA rated so it can't be used in tournaments.

All I use is this Mongrel Braid been using it for a few years now.. never dropped a fish

Spectra 8 strand
I fished mongrel 2 times more fool me tbh lost a big shark to braid snapping respooled next weekend had the fish on 45minutes like 30m our n pop braid snapped again. Now I use only j braid on the shark gear as fights last a while so longevity’s key and use Vatican’s on spin and spectra on the beach outfits I’ve got 17 rays this past month n not had a problem I’ve even held the spool and the rays like 10m our going nuts trying to go thinking rods gonna snap and I’m only running 49lb spectra but I only use 8 strand
