Not much to report. Slow day on the water. Got tailed on the soft plastics numerous times, will cost me a fortune to restock... got one really good solid hookup one a fish that dictated terms for a couple of minutes and try as I might I couldn't stop getting busted off. :(( then tried trolling without any luck.... empty esky at the end of the day.

Dam that sucks.
we have just arrived home from shark bay. Ended up going out yesterday at the drop of a hat. Glad we did, got 19 blacks, the best a whisker over 500mm caught by my wife and a 510 pink also caught by the wife. Had a great day, sister in law spewed up a fair bit so that was quite funny too.

Steep Point? How big is the tinny? I'll be back up in mid may and camping at shelter bay. We troll along the cliffs of dirk hartog but its not for the faint hearted. If your "tinny" is 5m + then it will be ok. There are snapper spots inside shelter bay and you may pick up a shark mackerel trolling through there as well. Much more protected.

Its a 4 metre quintrex. We will be staying at the other point peron. Probally bottle bay area depending on weather would go around to steep point but going with some other friends and there not to keen on the track around there so we have settled on point peron. i have heard alot about dirk hartog island and am in the process of organising a week on the island thats another trip.
Take a fish boating.

Someone else here on FW
Someone else here on FW stayed at gregories on cape peron. Maybe be able to help out with some spots. I havent fished up that way because it is about 20 nautical miles from monkey mia and there are a lot closer spots to fish here (but perhaps not this year??)
