Monofilament

Gday all, I know a lot of people still use mono and was just wondering what is the best mono out on the market? Mainly interested in 8-24kg line for trolling and bottom bashing on an overhead setup.

Question
Has anyone found bright or fluro coloured mono to differ in breaking strain or stretch from clear mono?

Cheers guys
and thanks Ryan. I'm currently running 24kg Shogun mono on my trolling outfit and right now it seems like a bit much. Has anyone had experience with the Shogun line? I think I might give this Berkley line a try. What would everyone recommend, breaking strain wise for the North West?

Line class!
No probs, Bigame has good abrassion resistence & less salt wear than many other lines. I use 15kg line class on YFT/macs/wahoo/sailfish. I only use 24kg on Marlin!

So Berkley Trilene is its
So Berkley Trilene is its old name and now it is being produced as Berkley Big Game? Why would they change the name and is it made the same?
Thanks in advance.

Seperated!
Trilene was a generic brand name that had many model lines. The Trilene Biggame by Berkley has just been seperated to the name " Biggame by Berkley" and they still have other lines that are called Trilene "XL" etc etc
They changed the diameter to be a bit thicker which gives better abrassion resistence & less saltwater wear. I originally didnt like the change but agree with why they did it and have warmed to the new line.....its awesome!
