being a shark bay regular
being a shark bay regular that's great news! but in reality we have only ever got our boat limit (4 anglers for four fish) once in all the years we've been going!

Wow...
After 24 hours only two comments!
It seems people are happy to bitch when bag limits are cut, but not as forthcoming with praise when they are raised!

Great news
Good news thanks recfishwest, Ive always said that there are heaps of pink there, not the tiny biomass that fisheries say. We have caught pinks there on bare hooks they have been so aggressive and no black gen its not a noddy story.

bit hard to read but i am
bit hard to read but i am presuming the increase is inside the gulf.
what about outside the exclusion zone like the turtle bay area where you could get 4 p/angler .
last time we fished there you could get 7 fish with no more than 4 pinks.
good result

Regardless of the exclusion
Regardless of the exclusion zone, you could still only land one fish per person per day in the shark bay area. ie: ie you caught four pinks at turtle bay you would have to land them outside the shark bay marine zone ie carnarvon

Last time we fished there
Last time we fished there fishing around the turtle bay area was outside the zone and we were able to catch 4 pinks p/person. got checked by fisheries every day and no prob as long as you had the permit but you were not allowed to fish inside once you left the zone.
