More jigging action
Headed out Yesterday with Southern Cross and was joined by fellow fw members Schecky and Sam C.
We arrived at hillaries aggs aroung 8.30 and there was about 15 boats hovering about. It was definately the best conditions i have ever seen out there.Absolute millpond.
Plenty of fish for all,
Gotta Give props the the boys at Southern Cross for doing the right thing. We spent at least 1/2 hour netting other poeples floating fish and making sure they went back down.
We did see one Boat with a guy who jumped in the water with his underwater camera to get some footage. All i can say is "balls of steel" with some of the sharks that were hanging around.
Sam C having some fun with the Smith/Certate Hyper 4000 Pe3
After a good 30min the result
Scheckys nice fish
It Was another great day out on the water
Cheers, Chris

Sounds and looks like a great day. A couple of great photos at the end there. Sure makes a whole heap of difference when you take a little more time to get that 'straight to the pool room' shot.
The best reason for doing what's right today is tomorrow.

Really looks like the sambos are firing this year... good to see after a couple particularly lean seasons.

under water camera
I was the guy fighting the fish and my brother jumped in with the camera. didnt see any sharks all day or have any fish busted off by sharks. We only came across 1 floating fish and it was about half way between the two aggregations so we sent it back down on a weight to.

You Were lucky not to get sharked or see one Dougie
I got sharked twice. One which had taken a 30kg sambo off clean behind the head and hooked one which nearly pulled me off the marlin board when i was trying out sams Blue heaven with a bit too much drag! Ive been out there three times this month and seen 3 sharks.one 3mtre mako,One 4mtre white and Mills had one around 3meters mauling some sambo's at the boat yesterday.
Oh well, at least they are well fed!

Issues
Well, I have just been called by a leisurecat owner saying he was abused at Mindarie boat ramp this morning going to get his cray pots. Now the owner of this boat wasn't even fishing on the weekend, but obviously someone has decided to take action into their own hands thinking it was the guy above.
Now I have to warn you guys, especially who ever was responsible (if it was off this site) that this sort of stuff could get the police involved or you never know, legal action, especially if the innocent party decides to take the matter further.
I'm pretty disappointed that this has happened, no vigilante action is required!! In future I will be taking any pics or evidence of people doing bad things off the site because this sorta stuff is crap and the innocent person that was abused was rather pissed off.

not blaming Chris
I'm certainly not blaming Chris, just the loud mouths who decided to abuse anyone with a leisure cat!

The two pics posted are of a leisurecat, the person who was abused is a friend of mine ,not only was he not out fishing on this day but he has a dominator ,,with the name dominator in large black letters down the side .the people who have taken it on themselves to have a go ,are guest or members to the site ,pretty piss poor if you ask me ,the guy I have known for years and does the right thing out on the water, If you are reading this and you were the big mouth grow some balls and put up an apology on the site .or get your facts right.

Adam,
Not intending to stir up a hornets nest.
As shecky said, nor my intentions for innocent boat owners to get abused or poeple to take things into there own hands.
More for education as what not to do.

I could be wrong but those
I could be wrong but those two pics of cats in this thread are different boats. Ones a leisurecat and the other looks like a dominator with radar on the roof.

Not happy Jan
I have removed the photos of the boats and have been contacted by the original leisurecat owner to set the story straight.
He had seen some floating sambo's and gone over to retrieve them, Southern Cross came over and misheard 'we are trying to help release these fish' to a 'this is our first fish' The guy has assured me that he was releasing the fish and having a closer look at the photo you can see he doesn't have a rod in his hand. A case of misinterpreting the situation (I wasn't there and can't comment) but have the assurance of the skipper, who has fished the agg's for a few years that he was trying to release other people's floaters.
The owner has made it VERY clear to me that he was trying to do the right thing and has considered defamation action against the site and the poster of the photo as a result of being abused for no good reason.
From now on, any photo's of this nature will be automatically deleted as I don't want to be held accountable for them. I know it was not Chris's intention to defame the guy, but the vigilante action that is going around over a bloody sambo is ridiculous, you guys who are insulting people in leisurecats over this issue need to grow a bloody brain. If I find out who you are, you won't be members of here for much longer, if you even are members. This is pathetic and its a sad state of affairs, guess its a bit of a reflection of our society today.
Hopefully this will be the end of this matter, but again, if it continues I wouldn't be suprised if the police got involved followed by lawyers. The clowns that feel they can abuse people at Mindarie ramp (any ramp for that matter) had better pull your heads in before it gets a lot more serious.
Apologies to all parties involved in this unfortunate situation.
Adam
