Motor beeps in neutral, only on the water

Hey guys, I posted on here a few weeks ago about my motor beeping only when in reverse, and only on the water. It's now started beeping when in neutral as well, but again only when in the water. The deep goes away when you put it into gear and take off a bit. I can't get it to beep at all when flushing with the earmuffs at all. I've had the mechanic plug into it and it's not throwing any alarms at all. I'm going to take a video when on the water next for him to have a look at it. But, anyone got any ideas to try?

 Water flow too low.

It's possible that it isn't getting enough water flow until you spin the impeller up by going ahead and also some water pressure builds against the inlet.

On the muffs you are providing the pressure through the hose.

Try running it in a tub of water rather than on the muffs and see if that replicates the problem.

Thanks zoo these are the exact thoughts I've had, just finding a tub to put it in has been a little hard! The impellor has been inspected and looked perfect, I'm wondering whether it's worth changing anyway. If it's not the ipellor do you have any other ideas?

New impellor, all the zinc block nodes removed cleaned and full engine flush. Hasn't missed a beat since, the beeping was driving me insane.

You don't need a big bucket, just enough to cover the pickup screen. You can then put the hose in the bucket to make sure it doesn't run out of water but the hose won't apply pressure.

The bigger engines you do need a big drum or something large as the exhaust  gas airates the water around the intakes.seen it many times before

Not sure what engine he has though.

Hey guys, an update on this

Sat, 2019-05-18 13:44

Hey guys, an update on this if anyone has any input. After learning that I had a 3-1 fault code, it seemed to be the IAC valve. The mechanic changed it, and it has improved to the point where it only beeps in reverse, same engine code. Any thoughts? I can only come up with the revs in reverse aren't high enough
