Mounting a new minn Kota I pilot

Hey guys,

I am waning to mount my electric this weekend, I have purchased a minn Kota metal quick release bracket (Mka-32) and I will be mounting it onto a raw  aluminium surface and was wondering if I should place any spacers between the surfaces to prevent any interactions of  the metals?

 Maybe a thin nylon cutting

Maybe a thin nylon cutting board cut and drilled to size as an insulator. Plus good to put some duralac on the stainless bolts to stop corrosion.  Just have a good look where you are going to mount it as they put a lot of pressure on the aluminium.  I made some 10mm thick aluminium plate washers to spread the load on the thin aluminium.

Fittings...

...for my nav light and aerial fittings, I just cut a bit from a plastic ice cream tub, to separate the stainless from the ally. And +1 for the Duralac!
