Saturday last week we were fishing our usual spot near Dyers Island burleying up and hoping for a decent fish to turn up . Well to my shock and amazment this 5 Metre white pointer turned up and hung arround for more than half an hour. We were only in about 30 foot of water and you could easily see how big it was . Have done a bit of diving arround the area in my younger days glad i wasnt in the water.
I was wondering how many of you guys have come accross one while burleying and fishing?

2 weeks ago freediving south side rotto we were burleying in around 20m of water - then a 3m Tiger rocked up. He was acting erratic so we thought it be best we left the water.

Gee it's hard not to feel like a GW feed waiting to happen when snorkling or diving. 10m water depth eh?

Huh, never heard of a Dhyer Island of rotto, but I'm ready to be educated.

follow my sinking burley pot right up to the boat last afternoon before the blow--so that's what had been snipping rig after rig
Wrong time of year for Whites? Don't think so, the first of the whales should be coming through by now, surely?
