Mulloway size

Hey all
I was reading a back issue of a mag i buy and there was an article on swan river mulloway. The bit that caught my attention was some of Brynn farmers research. He was saying that the size limit for mullas was 50 cm but they don't reach breeding size until about 90 - 95cms.
Is this the reason they are so hard to come by in the metro area?
I would have thought that being the holy grail to land based fishos, both north and south, and targeted so heavily the fish would have been given every possible chance to reproduce at least once.
Not sure if anything has changed on size limits since the article was aug 07.
Interested to hear some of your thoughts on it.
Cheers
Ryan

i reckon make the size limit
i reckon make the size limit at 80cm. cause to many are caught at 60ish.. but banning inst nesesairy because for the amount of mulloway there are only a incrediabley small amount are caught. take the causeway bridge fishing for example.. u some times have 15ppl fishing and not one all night.. my bet is that at least 50 would ahve gone through there at some points of the day.

I dont know anyone that
I dont know anyone that would actually keep a 50cm one, i think its safe to say the just sized ones would go back.

Unfortunately there are some
that aren't so caring for the future of fishing stocks who will keep any fish at any size.

i know the ones your talking
i know the ones your talking about. i go to hillarys marina alot at night chasind yellowtail and herring for bait and ive seen people catch and imediatly bleed snapper under 30 cms, aswell as tailor under 20cm and crabs that clearly arnt legal and it annoys the hell out of me. weve called fisheries twice about it and there still isnt anything being done about it.

i see to many of them aswell
i see to many of them aswell i ussualy try to get as close to them and when ever they get one i just say hey i dont think thats sized.. and ussaly that works.. but like i have seen people keeping tailor from 5-20cm and i told them that they are undersized so they said it was ok cause they were using it as bait..
