mad man or paddling legend?

Hey Albee, i'm only new to Fishwrecked, but what iv'e seen of your reports you are a madman or a salt water guru. You wouldn't catch me out there with my ass on the water for quids.. Especially in that patch of water. Ive seen a roo chased by a dog straight off the spit at the mouth. In the water swimming for it's life only to be sucked out in seconds. Obviously the roo's head went under and wasn't seen again.

Good luck to ya mate.. Like i said yesterday - VERY BALLSY!

Not mad mate

I love my yakking, and this is why i bought one. Im not stupid and i spent hours sitting on the point watching the water movement through here and looking at tides etc. You just need to be careful, and aware of whats going on around you. Yaks are a sealed hull, and can take a lot of water over the top without issues, also with very little under the hull, we can push through the currents quite easily. Mines a pedal craft, and they love these types of water, with the flippers under the hull its a very constant and positive drive. To be honest i'm more aware of the boat movements thru here, as i don't want to be hit, or hinder there passage. Upsetting them isin't good for yakkers.

Thanks for the comments tho mate, appreciated.

Obviously very experienced, observant and intuative. Here i was thinking you were using an oar/paddle to get momentum. Thanks for the info, i intend to look into it further. Sounds like it would be a blast to have a hook up on one of them. I spose you would also get a tow when your onto a bigger one.

Got my 1st and only jumbo.. so far... from that same patch of water. All the best with tonight's fishin!
