Great looking fish an all
But you kept that thing??
correct me if I am wrong but those goldens or any trevally for that reason are terrible eating from all reports.
Don't get me wrong it doesn't phase me either way but I always thought they were crap eating

goldens
Goldens aren't the worst to eat, fresh, bled and on ice the smaller ones aren't bad at all. But when you have so much other quality up north, well, they get left behind. I will consider it for the POTM, we do have some pretty good entries for March, you will need to submit it as an individual image rather than forum topic for it to be considered though.

Nice fish Mick
Great fish, especially in a comp! Good luck with the record application as well, definitely a good day to have certified scales on the beach.
I'm sure those big pinkies look better swimming under water than in your photo too, Shark B8.

I'll agree about it swimming around..
..but I do eat everything that I shoot, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime fish, probably won't shoot another one
