Navionics NavPlanner

Anyone tried the Navionics route planning software? Is it easy to manage waypoints etc?
Seems a bit pricey and comes with a card reader (why, I dont know).
Any imput would be appreciated.

think it's so you can take the card out of your chartplotter and move all waypoints to your pc easily

Card Reader
Not sure about the software. Looked into it a while ago but decided against it at the time due to cost.
I was led to believe that you HAD TO use the card reader supplied as the card is formatted in a way that a standard card reader would not read the card. I was also told that using a standard card reader "could" corrupt files on the Navionics card.

Yep need the card reader as standard one on a pc will stuff the navionics card. Is several warnings in my raymarine & navionics manuals about it.

Perhaps if a few of those interested purchase together and ask for a group discount? I'm in the market for one for my M84.
