Need advice on new combo purchase

Hi guys

Hoping some can help me with my dilemma. Need advice on a new combo I want to buy. Heading down south with my old man and he can use my current old Abu combo and I will buy something new. Heading off the Busso Jetty and a few landbased spots in the bay.

Will be for smallish species. Bream, Whiting, Tailor, Squid and Herring etc for landbased mainly.

Budget hoping for combo around $400 max

Stradic, Luvius etc look good but more direction plus rod selection would be great!!

Thanks in advance guys!

Cheers

Give honsu a call at oceanside, they have the FWA range of rods that are terrific value.

Reels are easy to choose from but rods are abit harder as individual preferences can vary a fair bit.

Our recommendation for the sort of fishing you mentioned is to go to a longish rod, ie FWA series squidding rod. Its not as soft as many people think. They can handle up to 10-12lb braid. Reason for this choice is the length. 8ft long, awesome casting distance and very lightweight, great match up to small reels.

For a limited time, on top of the FW discount, you'll get a free FWA DVD as well !!

Come in and check it out.

Unfortunately they don't have any Stradics in stock and I am keen to get 1 this week. Ive had a little chat with Hon-Su and will pop in soon but just want to get a Stradic this week so if anyone knows where I can get 1 at a good price I would be keen.

Also is the Ci4 worth paying the extra $100 than the FI?
